Peter Stuart-Heaton was born in Yorkshire in 1919 and aducated at Selwyn House, Broadstairs, and at Charterhouse. He served in the 1939-45 war in armed merchant cruisers, corvettes, motor torpedoboats, and later at the Admiralty. He is an officer of the House of Lords, and is Honorary Secretary of the House of Lords Yacht Club. In his spare time he sails, paints, and writes about boats. He exhibits at Arthur Ackermann, Old Bond Street, London, and writers for a number of papers.
